Nablus University and Italy's University of Bari Sign Academic Cooperation Agreement

Nablus University for Vocational and Technical Education, represented by its President, Prof. Derar Eleyan, signed an academic cooperation agreement with the University of Bari Aldo Moro, represented by its President, Prof. Stephano Bronzini. The five-year agreement aims to organize and enhance collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

Prof. Eleyan commended the collaboration, emphasizing its alignment with the shared goals of both universities in training, scientific research, and promoting local culture. He highlighted that this partnership contributes to the social, economic, and cultural development of communities and strengthens international cooperation between educational institutions.

He reiterated the university’s commitment to building global partnerships, noting its recent efforts in signing multiple agreements and joining international projects and programs. These initiatives aim to enhance the expertise of academic and administrative staff, offering them opportunities to explore diverse experiences and learn about the latest technologies and methods in education, administration, and beyond.

Prof. Eleyan also expressed his gratitude to the coordinators, Dr. Samer Jarrar and Prof. Francesco Porcelli, for their instrumental role in fostering the partnership, preparing the agreement, and ensuring its implementation and success.

The agreement seeks to strengthen the friendship between the two universities and their respective countries, based on principles of equality and mutual benefit. It outlines areas of collaboration in academic, scientific, administrative, and cultural fields through the exchange of students, academics, researchers, and administrative staff, as well as joint scientific activities and cultural initiatives. It also involves the exchange of technical skills, scientific information, and academic publications. Furthermore, the agreement includes the development of joint academic programs at various degree levels, efforts to secure funding for these programs, and initiatives aimed at enhancing university governance and collaboration with academic institutions and other related entities.

The University of Bari Aldo Moro is a public university and one of the largest in Italy. It holds a prestigious position in global rankings and offers a wide range of bachelor’s and master’s degrees while hosting several prominent research centers.
